Elizabeth Guzman, a dedicated member of the nursing team, brought her compassionate spirit to the medical field in May 2023. Born and raised in the picturesque town of Ventura, CA, Elizabeth spent her formative years surrounded by the coastal beauty of Southern California. After a decade in San Diego, she made the thoughtful decision to relocate to Roseburg, seeking the support and closeness of family during the challenging times brought about by the pandemic.

Before embarking on her journey in healthcare, Elizabeth accrued six years of valuable experience in customer service. However, driven by a desire to make a more meaningful impact on people’s lives, she transitioned into the medical field. Elizabeth’s dedication to her newfound career led her to become a nationally certified clinical medical assistant, and she completed her education at Umpqua Community College.

Motivated by a strong sense of community service, Elizabeth found inspiration in the patients she encountered during their treatment. She expresses deep admiration for her colleagues, referring to them as “awesome coworkers,” recognizing the collective effort to provide exceptional care. Elizabeth views her role as an honor and an opportunity to contribute positively to the lives of those she serves.

In her interactions with patients, Elizabeth shares a heartfelt piece of advice: “Please remember you are not alone! Your presence alone can make someone else’s day.” This empathetic approach reflects her commitment to fostering a supportive and compassionate environment.

Living by the core value of excellence, Elizabeth demonstrates her dedication daily by approaching her work with thoroughness and a genuine desire to enhance the comfort of patient care. She believes that everyone deserves nothing less than excellent care and strives to make a difference in the lives of those she serves.

Outside of her professional life, Elizabeth finds joy in spending quality time with friends and family. An avid enthusiast of ultimate frisbee, she engages in friendly matches to unwind and stay active. When relaxation calls, Elizabeth can be found at home, either indulging in Netflix binges or immersing herself in the world of video games. Her diverse interests and commitment to both her career and personal life showcase a well-rounded individual dedicated to making a positive impact on the world around her.
