Erika hails from the close-knit community of Malin, Oregon, where she learned the value of hard work and strong ethics while growing up on her family’s farm in a town of just 600 residents.
Her journey in healthcare began with earning an Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology from Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls. For a decade, Erika dedicated herself as an X-ray tech and Mammographer, honing her skills in diagnostic imaging before pursuing further education at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, to become a Radiation Therapist.
Erika’s career in radiation therapy has been diverse and fulfilling, encompassing roles as a staff Radiation Therapist, Lead Therapist, and eventually as the Manager of a Radiation Oncology Department. Despite enjoying various positions, Erika finds the role of Lead Radiation Therapist most rewarding. Here, she thrives on building relationships with her team while maintaining direct patient interaction—a blend that she finds deeply fulfilling.
Outside of work, Erika cherishes time spent with her three grown children: Erik, Tabitha, and Gabriel. She, and her husband Jaques, take immense joy in spoiling their four granddaughters, affectionately referred to as their Grand-Gremlins, who bring boundless energy and happiness to their lives. Erika also finds fulfillment in her entrepreneurial endeavors and engages actively in outdoor activities, church, and socializing with friends.
Erika’s commitment to patient care, leadership, and community reflects her upbringing’s values and underscores her dedication to making a positive impact both professionally and personally. Her blend of compassion, leadership, and zest for life makes her an invaluable member of any team.
