Angelia Freeman, BSB

Angelia has had a diverse background and career path. She grew up in Douglas County and completed her high school education at Oakland High School in 1984. Afterward, she pursued higher education and obtained an Applied Associate of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
After 22 years in banking and finance, Angelia made a significant career change by joining the Community Care Center (CCC). This transition allows her to shift her expertise and skills to contribute to a different sector. She was hired in June of 2012 to administer a three-year grant from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. A role which involved managing and overseeing the proper allocation and utilization of the grant funds for breast health education and support programs throughout the five southern counties in Oregon.
Over time, her role at CCC has grown significantly. She now oversees the research, development, and delivery of CCC’s outreach education programs, as well as the establishment of both a fundraising and endowment programs, and the coordination of grant writing initiatives for the organization. Additionally, Angelia oversees the CCC volunteer program, is actively involved in the organization’s marketing program, contributing to its promotional efforts, web development, social media presence and provider campaigns. Angelia also dedicates her time and expertise by volunteering on the CCC’s Investment, Safety, and Employee Engagement committees.
In her free time, Angelia enjoys bi-weekly mountain hikes with the local hiking club exploring the trails and scenic byways throughout Oregon. She also travels annually to destinations that offer rich opportunities for outdoor exploration and adventures that include hiking, white water rafting, and cultural experiences.
Angelia’s background, as well as her commitment to personal and professional growth, showcase her dedication and versatility toward her career, our community, the importance of adapting a healthy lifestyle and a work life balance. When asked about her career path and the CCC she replied, “I truly love what I do. Every day, I show up with purpose, to be a source of strength and compassion for others during some of their most difficult moments. It’s truly a blessing.”
