CCF Trustee Since 2023

Katherine “Kat” Cooper moved to Roseburg in 2010 and now proudly calls it home, where she lives with her husband, Ben, and their two daughters. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Oregon, building a strong foundation in communication, outreach, and community engagement.

Kat has worked with Umpqua Health since 2016 and currently serves as the Community Engagement Coordinator, partnering with local organizations and community leaders to strengthen programs that improve health and well‑being across Douglas County.

Kat joined the Community Cancer Center Marketing Committee in 2023 and, in 2024, became a member of the CCC Executive Committee, further deepening her commitment to supporting cancer care and advocacy in the region.

In addition to her service with the Community Cancer Center, Kat also serves on the Board of Directors for the Family Development Center and Umpqua Heart, the Steering Committee for Thrive Umpqua and the Douglas County Childcare Coalition, Mercy Foundation’s The Learning Child Committee, and several other councils and committees dedicated to helping Douglas County thrive.
