Next Step: A Supportive Community for Quitting Tobacco
The NEXT STEP program is the dedicated support group component of our FRESHSTART adult tobacco cessation initiative. This program provides a safe and welcoming space where men and women come together each week to support one another on their journey to quit smoking and remain tobacco-free.
Led by skilled facilitators trained in smoking cessation counseling, each session is carefully designed to address the unique needs of the participants. These meetings offer a blend of encouragement, shared experiences, and accountability, creating a robust support system essential for overcoming nicotine addiction.
Research consistently shows that the most effective approach to quitting tobacco involves combining a cessation aid—such as nicotine patches, gum, or lozenges—with a strong support network. The Next Step group is here to guide you through the challenges of nicotine withdrawal, offering practical advice, emotional support, and strategies for success.
Joining a support group like Next Step goes beyond quitting tobacco—it equips you with valuable tools to manage cravings, cope with stress, and navigate life without smoking. Members share their own experiences, offering insights and creative solutions to common challenges. Most importantly, being part of a support group reminds you that you are not alone in this journey.
Key Features of the Next Step Program:
- Weekly Meetings: An ongoing program to provide continuous support.
- Peer Support: Connect with individuals who understand your struggles and goals.
- Accountability: Stay motivated and on track with help from the group.
- Free to Join: No membership dues or fees—your success is our priority.
Take the Next Step today and discover the power of community in your journey to a smoke-free life. Together, we can make lasting change.
